Qapture is an iPhone camera and live-production tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information Qapture handles and how it is used.

Information Qapture uses

Camera and microphone. Qapture uses camera and microphone access to provide camera capture, recording, and live video features. Camera and microphone content is used to provide those features and is not sent to Qapture for advertising or analytics.

Local network. Qapture uses the local network to send and receive video and OSC messages with compatible production software and devices on the same network. Network addresses and settings you enter are used to make those connections.

Photos and Files. If you choose to save or export a recording, Qapture uses the destination you select. Qapture does not upload those recordings to us.

Support requests. If you contact us through the website, we receive the name, email address, message, and optional screenshots that you submit. We use that information only to respond to your request and provide support.

How information is used

Information is used to operate Qapture, connect it to compatible devices, save or export recordings at your direction, respond to support requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service. We do not sell personal information or use camera, microphone, or recording content for advertising.

Sharing

Qapture shares information only when needed to provide a feature you request, such as delivering a website support request. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the service, users, or others.

Retention and choices

Recordings remain under your control on your iPhone or chosen export destination. Support messages are retained only as reasonably needed to respond and maintain support records. You can control camera, microphone, local-network, Photos, and Files permissions in iPhone Settings.

Children

Qapture is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy when Qapture’s features or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
